Our coffee absolute has a heady and intoxicating aroma, with smoky, earthy notes and an underlying sweetness. This absolute is extracted from roasted coffee beans and has the powerful aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
Extracted and blended in France from Coffea canephora beans grown in Vietnam and West Africa, our coffee oil is a base note that can be used in a wide array of body care recipes or in personal aromatherapy blends. Add to perfumes, body butters, lotions, or massage oils. Coffee absolute is not recommended for use in diffusers.
This absolute has a thicker consistency than most essential oils and may take more time to mix into perfume blends or other body care recipes. It is helpful to start with a small quantity of the other ingredients you are using (such as carrier oil or butter) and thoroughly blend the coffee absolute until it is completely combined. From there it is easier to incorporate the blended mix into the rest of your ingredients.
The dark brown color of this absolute may stain clothing or affect the color of finished products.

Packaging
5 mL, 1/2 oz., and 1 oz. essential oils are packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. Larger sizes are packaged in amber screw cap bottles and do not come with reducers or droppers.
Precautions
No known precautions. Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children.
Before using topically, perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back by applying a small quantity of diluted essential oil and apply a bandage. Wash the area if you experience any irritation. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.
