Organic cornmint oil is a middle note steam distilled from fresh Mentha arvensis. It is one of the highest menthol mint oils and can be used sparingly in place of other mint essential oils. The menthol content of this oil is so high when distilled that the oil is usually solid. The oil is then partially dementholized or has some of the menthol removed to be liquid at room temperature. This process is usually done through freezing.
Cornmint essential oil has a fresh and minty aroma with slight bitter notes, and this middle note oil will blend well with juniper, lavender, basil, and tea tree.
