Organic galbanum oil is a top note steam distilled from the resin of Ferula galbaniflua and has been used for thousands of years in perfume blends. Galbanum has a long history as incense. The resin may be burned, and the oil has been used as a fixative in perfumes. Spicy, green and balsamic, galbanum essential oil is strong on its own, and is best when blended with other oils such as opopanax, benzoin, fir, or geranium.
