Ginseng: American ginseng supports a healthy response to stress and was traditionally used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as an adaptogen for overall well-being and to help increase energy and stamina.*
Maca: A root that has been employed as an amorous herb and continues to maintain that notoriety today. It has an incredibly rich history of traditional use as a panacea and is often referred to as “Peruvian ginseng”. Lepidium meyenii is revered for its adaptogenic and nutritive qualities.
Epimedium: This herbaceous plant is referred to as yin yang huo in TCM which roughly translates from Mandarin as “weed for licentious goat”. Considered to have strong yang qualities, epimedium was typically employed to support the circulatory system and kidneys as well as for its affinity for enhancing the libido.
Damiana: Harvested in the mountains of Mexico where it has traditionally been infused to make tea, damiana has a long history of use in age old healing modalities for its healthful properties and amorous spirit. Although its noted effect on sexual desire has been its primary historical use across cultures, it has also been valued for its relaxing and calming effects.
Saw Palmetto: Serenoa repens is a member of the Arecaceae family and is also known as sabal palm. Saw palmetto berries were traditionally employed as a food source and general tonic by Native Americans in Florida. This botanical has many wellness benefits and supports healthy prostate functioning.*
