Linden is a lovely tree that produces a bounty of white blossoms that fill the air with a light and heady fragrance. These tiny aromatic flowers attract many bees that in turn produce a wonderful honey. The tree occurs in both Europe and North America. Many myths abound throughout Europe regarding this botanical. One of the most extreme is of Celtic lore that states sitting under the Linden tree will cure one of epilepsy. In Roman and German folklore, the linden tree is thought of as the “tree of lovers”, and Polish folklore reports that the wood is good protection against both the evil eye and lightning.
Linden blossoms have been utilized to make a variety of items including herbal teas and a base for perfume. This comforting herb has a long history of offering healthful benefits for the mind, body, and spirit. Tilia cordata has a special affinity for the emotions and the heart. Linden is a delightful addition to the day with its soothing and relaxing properties.
Our linden extract is made with fresh organic aerial portions and organic grain alcohol. The tincture has an enchantingly sweet, pleasant flavor and aroma. It combines well with other extracts including hawthorn extract and chamomile extract. Add linden extract to water or juice, or to a cup of tea such as peace tea or grateful heart tea.
