Epimedium is a perennial, ivy-like, ground shrub that is native to China, Japan, and Korea. Epimedium grandiflorum is a member of the Berberidaceae family which includes barberry and Oregon grape root. This herbaceous plant is referred to as yin yang huo in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which roughly translates from Mandarin as “weed for licentious goat”.

Epimedium leaf has been used for thousands of years in TCM for its beneficial properties. Considered to have strong yang qualities, epimedium was typically employed to support the circulatory system and kidneys as well as for its affinity for enhancing libido. Our epimedium tincture is made using organic leaf and organic alcohol by our qualified team. Epimedium extract pairs well with damiana extract, ginseng extract, and saw palmetto extract. Add to happy man tea for an extra botanical boost or take alone either directly on the tongue or in water.
