The past year has been a challenge to navigate for businesses that regularly import raw materials. As customs increases continue to impact international commerce, we too have felt these changes. While we source as much as we can from the United States, many of our most beloved botanicals can only be grown internationally. In addition, glass and packaging materials are largely manufactured overseas, which has been one of the largest contributors to rising costs across many industries.
For months, we have worked to keep our pricing stable in hopes that international trade conditions would level out and costs would return to normal. Unfortunately, this is no longer sustainable for us. You will see modest price increases on select imported products. Botanicals sourced from within the United States will not be affected by this change, and we are continuing to expand our line of domestically grown herbs, spices, and teas.
At Mountain Rose Herbs, our promise remains the same: to provide the highest quality organic products at the most reasonable prices possible while staying true to our values of sustainability, fairness, and integrity. This decision was not made lightly. Our team continues to strengthen partnerships with domestic organic farmers and invest in regenerative agriculture to reduce our dependence on imported materials wherever possible.
