The Mountain Rose Aroma Bar won the Marketing Campaign of the Year in the retail category for the 2022 American Business Awards® and received the Gold Stevie® award for the store's branding and design, both intended to engage the senses through high-quality, ethically sourced essential oils and aromatherapy products. Good Food Awards
The Good Food Foundation awarded the Mountain Rose Herbs Passion Chocolate Elixir as a winner in the 2020 Good Food Awards. Judging was based on ethical business practices, socially responsible ingredient procurement, and a blind taste test. The full spectrum of qualifications made receiving this award especially notable.
2019
LUX Food and Drink Award
Lux Magazine recognized Mountain Rose Herbs as the Leading Purveyor of Organic Herbs and Spices in Oregon. During the nomination and voting process for the Food & Drink Award, judges were seeking businesses that demonstrate a high level of culinary expertise, and those who successfully cater to the varying lifestyles, tastes, and choices of the modern-day consumer by bringing new and innovative products to the table.
AHPA Herbal Hero Award
AHPA (American Herbal Products Association) recognized Mountain Rose Herbs Quality Control Director, Steven Yeager, with the 2019 Herbal Hero Award. Having served as an active member representing Mountain Rose Herbs for 11 years, Yeager has shared years of knowledge and expertise by teaching botanical identification workshops, taking part in plant protection projects such as AHPA's Osha Sustainability Study, and serving on numerous other AHPA committees.

The Mountain Rose Herbs Mercantile was voted the #1 gift store in Eugene by the readers of The Register Guard.
Healing Lifestyles Earth Day Beauty Awards
The Healing Lifestyles Earth Day Beauty Awards chose our Classic Rose Facial Oil as a winner in the "Best for Face" category. It was selected for being the best of clean, green beauty in 2018.
American Health + Wellness Design Awards
We were honored with two 2018 American Health + Wellness Design Awards from Graphic Design USA. We won for the redesign of our tea boxes and for the Free Herbalism Project's posters.
2017
Innovation in Corporate Philanthropy Award
Awarded by the Portland Business Journal in recognition of our Mountain Rose River Project, which was founded in 2009. Since its inception, Mountain Rose Herbs employees have completed up to 10 nature restoration projects each year. “The impact that this project has and will have on the community is huge,” said Whitney Dorer, Deputy Director of Friends of Trees and a nonprofit partner on this project.
Bicycle Friendly Business Silver Award – League of American Bicyclists
Given by the League of American Bicyclists, this award recognizes employers for their efforts to encourage a more welcoming atmosphere for bicycling employees, customers, and the community. “Businesses like Mountain Rose Herbs are leading the way to a healthier and more sustainable future,” said Andy Clarke, President of the League of American Bicyclists.
Private Sustaining Entity of the Year
The Long Tom Watershed Council recognizes Mountain Rose Herbs as its Private Sustaining Entity of the Year. “Your significant support includes financial contributions, direct participation in our Urban Waters & Wildlife Program by implementing storm water solutions on your property, and perhaps most importantly, as ambassadors to the community who help spread the word about our watershed and the work of the council,” said Rob Hoshaw, the Council’s Operations Director.
Earth Day Beauty Award
Awarded by Eluxe Magazine and Healing Lifestyles, Mountain Rose Herbs' Herbal Facial Kit won the Earth Day Beauty Award for being a high-quality and chemical-free beauty product for the face.
2016
Platinum Zero Waste Facility Certification by Green Business Certification Inc.
Mountain Rose Herbs was awarded the highest level of Zero Waste certification – Platinum – for meeting all local, state, and federal waste regulations and diverting at least 96 percent of all non-hazardous waste from landfills and incineration. We were the first company in Oregon to receive a Zero Waste certification.
River to Ridges Excellence in Community Partnership Award
Awarded by the River to Ridges Partnership, this local award recognizes Mountain Rose Herbs for being an excellent community partner while conserving and protecting natural resources and the environment.
Mount Pisgah Arboretum Business of the Year
Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to a mission of maintaining Pacific Northwest plant communities, offering environmental education programs for all ages, and providing facilities for the public enjoyment of its carefully restored and maintained site. This award recognizes Mountain Rose Herbs’ “strong environmental ethic and community involvement” and is the second award of its kind the company has received.

Charities@Work Corporate Excellence Award
This is the top award given annually to one company for overall excellence in employee engagement and corporate social responsibility. Companies are selected based on excellence in Workplace Giving Campaigns, employee engagement, and overall leadership involvement in all facets of social and corporate citizenship.
American Herbal Products Association Industry Leader Award
The annual AHPA Awards acknowledge individuals and organizations that make substantive, positive contributions to the herbal products industry. Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides Business League Award
NCAP works to protect community and environmental health as well as inspire the use of ecologically sound solutions to reduce the use of pesticides. The Business League is made up of businesses from across the country that cares about creating a healthy and sustainable world. The league is committed to letting customers, neighbors and the public know that a healthy environment is good for business.
Bring’s RE:Think Award: Highest score for waste reduction and conservation of natural resources
This program audits companies for their total environmental footprint and certification is only given to those companies who pass in all of their categories. In a press release issued by the folks at RE:think they had enthusiastically stated that “Mountain Rose Herbs is truly in a league of its own. Your business' score is the highest we have seen.”
Oregon Organic Coalition’s Wholesaler of the Year Award for Excellence
The Oregon Organic Coalition (OOC) strives to advance the development and growth of the State’s organic agricultural community and trade. Lane County Trustbusters Award
This award honors organizations which are engaged in a wider spectrum of activity beyond just recycling, and applauds them for creating innovative new products, new systems and new services which address the waste issue. Here at Mountain Rose Herbs we treat all discard as the resource that it is; we send waste oils to become biofuel, and botanical plant debris to become compost. These are just a small part of the process of being a zero waste facility.
Oregon Ethics in Business Award

Mayor’s Bold Steps to Sustainability Award
The Bold Steps Award recognizes Eugene-based sustainable businesses, and represents a partnership between The city of Eugene, Eugene mayor Kitty Piercy and BRING’s RE:think Business program. To be recognized with the award, Mountain Rose Herbs had to answer numerous questions and enforce new policies towards ecological business practices.
Provender Alliance Evolution in Motion
This award is given to companies or individuals that have been found to be a source of inspiration in the natural products community whose active pursuit of forward thinking environmental solutions has made a positive impact upon the world.
