Perhaps one of the most popular teas, Assam black tea is a full-bodied cup that is great brewed by itself or used as a base for breakfast blends and traditional chai teas. Our Assam tea is made with the tips from the fresh green harvests of the Camellia sinensis bush. It is then oxidized, intensifying the flavor compounds and giving it its distinct black color.

Produced exclusively in the Assam region of Northeastern India, this tea is a morning favorite due to its malty flavor and rich aroma. It is also delicious with cream and sugar and makes for a great coffee substitute.

Aroma and Flavor

Characteristic crisp and rich aroma with an invigorating flavor and malty finish that easily lends itself to milk and sugar. Contains caffeine.

Brewing Instructions
Pour 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf tea in strainer of choice or add 1 tea bag to your favorite mug. Steep in 8 fl. oz. of boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Remove strainer and enjoy. Steep time can be adjusted for desired strength and flavor.
