Our earl grey tea is now available in tea bags!
One of the most recognizable teas, earl grey is a classic black tea, complemented with the flavor of orange bergamot. The combination is floral, sweet, malty, and citrusy all at once.
There are numerous stories of its origins, but the most widely accepted is that bergamot was added to tea served at the home of Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl of Grey, to help combat the flavor of limestone in the estate’s water. Lady Grey then served the tea while entertaining in London and from there it became popular with the aristocracy and began to be associated with the “posh” of the city.
Today, earl grey is a tea for all.
