Green tea has a history of cultivation throughout India, China, and Japan for at least 5,000 years. With truly ancient roots, green tea has withstood the test of time for the wellness support, perkiness, and enjoyable taste it delivers. Black, green, and white tea all come from Camellia sinensis but differ based on the season the leaves are picked and in processing methods. Green tea leaves are unfermented retaining their high levels of naturally occurring antioxidants.
Our organic green tea extract is made from sencha green tea, which is the season's fresh harvest of the first young leaves. These handpicked tea leaves are immediately steamed to retain their peak flavor and vibrant, brilliant, green color. Green tea tincture is astringent and tannic. This uplifting extract can be added to teas, herbal power bars, smoothies, and more. Green tea extract can also be incorporated into an individualized extract blend for a healthful boost. It pairs well with our gotu kola extract and ginkgo extract or simply use alone directly on the tongue or in water or juice.
