SHIPPING TIMES

We are unable to guarantee specific ship times currently and look forward to when we can get back to our normal turnaround time for sending your packages out. Mountain Rose Herbs is only processing and shipping orders with billing and final destination shipping addresses located in the United States and Canada. All pricing is in US dollars.

Orders are processed in the order that they are received and shipped out accordingly. Shipping times will vary based on the address provided on the order. Please see approximate shipping times in the chart below. Some exclusions may apply, including large bulk orders, orders placed Friday through Sunday (may take extra days to process), or orders that require us to reach out to the customer before invoicing.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING INFORMATION

We are currently only offering 2 Day, 3 Day, and International Priority expedited shipping methods. The cutoff time for expedited orders is 3pm PST. Orders placed before the cutoff time will be processed the same day and shipped in 24-48 business hours.  Orders placed after the cutoff time will not be processed until the following business day.

Example 1: An Express 2 Day order is placed at 10am PST on Tuesday.  This order will be invoiced that day because it came in before our 3pm PST cutoff time.  The order will ship out on or before Thursday of that week.  Once it leaves us, it will take the carrier 2 business days to deliver the order, which would be Monday of the following week.

Example 2: Same Express 2 Day order is placed at 4:30pm PST on a Tuesday.  The order will be invoiced on Wednesday because it came to us after the cutoff time.  This order will ship by Friday and the carrier will deliver it on Tuesday the following week.

Important restrictions to expedited shipping:

  • The weight limit for these orders is capped at 100 pounds (total shipping weight including packaging).  Orders over this weight limit will not see any expedited shipping options. 
  • We are unable to ship items that are flammable which includes the majority of our essential oil line, all extracts, bitters, syrups, and elixirs.  Find the full list HERE.
  • Expedited shipping can only be offered to physical addresses, and we are unable to accept APO, DPO, FPO or PO Box addresses for these shipping options.
  • We are unable to offer expedited shipping on orders that contain items that are filled to order.  This includes bulk bags sizes and products that require several days for us to produce. 
  • We are unable to offer Next Day or Overnight services at this time, but we are hoping to implement these in the future.  

USPS Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, PO Box, PMB, or APO Addresses

When you enter your shipping address at checkout, you will see the shipping methods that are available for that address. We now offer USPS shipping to PO Box or PMB addresses. * Additionally, USPS service is available to Hawaii, Alaska, and APO addresses.

If your order qualifies for USPS shipping, the rate displayed is the live rate from USPS, which we have then discounted at 30%.

There are a few restrictions for USPS shipping:

  • Orders must be under 70 pounds in total shipping weight. 
  • Orders cannot contain extracts, syrups/elixirs, bitters, or certain restricted essential oils.

Orders shipping to a PO Box or PMB address that contain restricted items or exceed the weight limit will receive an error message. You can see more about restricted items here.

Orders shipping to a physical address in Hawaii or Alaska that exceed the weight limit will still see the regular FedEx ground rates during checkout.  We are not able to ship restricted items outside of the lower 48 states, so if your cart contains these items, you will receive the error message mentioned above.

*We are not able to ship to PO Box addresses in the US Territories and Protectorates. Feel free to contact our Customer Service Team for additional details.

*Delivery time is calculated according to actual "business days" and may not include weekends or holidays. These delivery times are estimated by the carrier and are not guaranteed unless an expedited shipping method is selected (which takes 24-48 business hours to ship out, but transit time is guaranteed). These delivery times do not include the time taken to process and fulfill your order at our facilities, and this should only be used as a transit average. All domestic orders within the United States typically take 2-10 days to arrive to you after your order has shipped out from Mountain Rose Herbs.

SHIPPING CHARGES

We are excited to announce that we have implemented highly discounted flat rate Ground shipping charges based on the size of the order for U.S. customers in the lower 48 states. We discount live rates by 30% for addresses off the mainland, FedEx SmartPost (Ground Economy), and International Economy. This is not applicable for large bulk orders, expedited shipping services, or freight.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS***

Due to increased restrictions by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA) we may not be able to ship certain items to your location. This restriction includes all Extracts, Bitters, Syrups and Elixirs as well as some of our Essential Oil line. These items are classified as flammable due to their low flash points and are restricted from shipping via air services.

Certain states have restricted select plant seeds due to regulations concerning noxious and invasive weeds. Louisiana also prohibits certain botanicals from entering the state.

In addition to the restrictions above, we are also unable to send the following herbs to Canada: Forest Grown Ginseng root, Cape Aloe powder, Goldenseal root powder, Goldenseal root, Rhodiola root, and Rhodiola root powder.

However, we are happy to send these Mountain Rose Herbs products via Ground shipping services to most physical addresses in the lower 48 states. If there are any restricted items in your cart that cannot be shipped to the address you provide, no shipping options will be available during checkout and an error message will display instead.

Once the restricted items are removed or the shipping address updated, your order should go through without further restriction-based issues.

CANADA SHIPPING INFORMATION

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Orders to Canada are shipped out via FedEx International Economy or FedEx International Priority. Delivery time is calculated according to actual "business days" and does not include weekends or holidays. These delivery times are estimated by the carrier and are not guaranteed, unless otherwise noted. Your customs authority may hold the order for inspection which can delay delivery times. The estimated delivery time above does not include the days required for us to process, package, and get your order ready for shipment.

If your order exceeds 300 pounds you may opt to have your order shipped via your own freight carrier, which you would have to arrange.

Canadian orders will be shipped with a Commercial Invoice and Customs Declaration Form. Please make sure that other forms of documentation will not be required by your government before you order as we will not be able to provide them. The only additional documents that can be provided upon request are:

· Organic Certificate

· Certificate of Analysis/Origin

· USMCA

We are not responsible for fees incurred because of refused merchandise and we are not responsible for customs and tariff fees imposed by your country. See further details below.

Also, as stated above under Shipping Restrictions, products with restricted shipping to Canada includes the majority of our Essential Oils line, and all Extracts, Bitters, Elixirs, Tonics and Syrups. We are also unable to send the following herbs to Canada: Forest Grown Ginseng root, Cape Aloe powder, Goldenseal root powder, Goldenseal root, Rhodiola root, and Rhodiola root powder.

CAN I USE MY FEDEX ACCOUNT NUMBER AS A BILLING OPTION FOR SHIPPING?

Yes! If you wish to use your own FedEx account number, please provide this to us and we will ship your package on your own account and no shipping charges shall apply to your order. During the checkout process simply type your FedEx account number in the "Order Comment" field. Please note that you may still need to select a shipping method/cost, but we will remove that at the time of processing, and you will not be charged.

DUTY AND TAXATION

Mountain Rose Herbs is not responsible for any duty, taxes or other associated import fees that your government may impose. These additional costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Any Canadian taxes and possible duty fees are assessed and calculated by your government when your package enters Canadian Customs and are collected from you when your package is delivered to you. Mountain Rose Herbs is only responsible for your order up to the point when the order arrives at the border.

ORDERS HELD UP AT YOUR COUNTRY'S BORDER AND DISPOSAL ISSUES

Canada Customs can hold your order for reasons that they may suspect as warranted. This usually involves a parcel search, product quarantine, or items within the parcel that may cause some concern with customs officials. These held up orders are not the responsibility of Mountain Rose Herbs and can only be resolved by you and your local postal authorities. In the event that your country's inspection agency quarantines, disposes or otherwise discards material which is not allowed into your country, this will become the sole responsibility of the buyer and, Mountain Rose Herbs will not issue a replacement nor refund for such occurrences. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know what is allowed into Canada and what is not.
