Echinacea: This root is revered for its bounty of wellness supporting properties. As a whole plant it was widely utilized in indigenous traditions and by folk herbalists for centuries. Red Root: This botanical is commonly known as wild snowball in reference to its clusters of white flowers that bloom in the early part of summer. It also goes by the name of New Jersey tea for its use as a tea substitute during the American Revolutionary War. The roots have an astringency that led to its traditional application as a mouthwash.
Licorice: Incredibly prolific, this is the single most utilized herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The root bears a constituent that is 50 times sweeter than sugar, making it useful in a wide variety of applications. Many traditional wellness modalities employ licorice root as a tonic botanical.
Hyssop: This herb has a history of use in traditional European herbalism that extends back to ancient Greece. Hyssop is considered energetically warming with an affinity for the lungs and is often favored in the cooler and wetter months.
Marshmallow: Traditional folk practices employed marshmallow to comfort the mucous membranes of the body. In Ayurveda, the root was considered energetically cold, sweet tasting, and moistening. Organic alcohol, water, fresh organic Echinacea purpurea root, red root, organic licorice root, fresh organic hyssop aerial portion, fresh organic marshmallow root, organic orange flavor extract, and organic vegetable glycerine.
Precautions
Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family should exercise caution with Echinacea, due to the presence of Echinacea pollen. Not for use in pregnancy or for long term use except under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner. Not for use in persons with hypertension, liver disorders, edema, severe kidney insufficiency, low blood potassium, or heart disease. Should be taken with at least 250ml (8 oz) of liquid. Orally administered drugs should be taken 1 hour before use or several hours after, as Marshmallow may slow the absorption. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
