Our female care extract is made from nutritious and tonifying herbs, working system wide to help you feel your best.
Our female care combination extract can be added to water or juice or taken directly on the tongue and includes:
Red Raspberry: Generally loved for its delicious fruit, red raspberry is equally regarded by herbalists for its delicious tasting leaf. Raspberry leaf is often infused or extracted and has a long history of use for its healthful properties, with a special affinity for the female reproductive system. An ally in women’s health, raspberry leaf is a nourishing and tonic herb, acting as a gentle astringent.
Shatavari: This cousin to the common asparagus is a beloved herb in Ayurveda, where it is translated as “a woman who has a hundred husbands”. Employed for its beneficial properties for thousands of years, shatavari root is considered energetically cooling and sweet, working to bring system wide balance. In Ayurveda, shatavari has been employed as a nourishing herb and rejuvenating adaptogenic tonic.
Dong Quai: A long used and important herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), dong quai root is commonly referred to as “female ginseng”. Translating to “state of return”, the root was typically employed in TCM for female specific wellness support. Considered energetically warming, sweet, and acrid, dong quai was utilized as a nourishing tonic.
Kava Kava: Native to the Pacific Islands, kava kava root has been employed for its social and healthful properties for millennia. The root is often appreciated as a nervine for its general calming properties. Kava kava promotes natural relaxation and helps in coping with stress.*
Nettle: Nettle has been used worldwide for centuries for its nutritious, wellness supporting qualities as well as fiber and food. The leaves emerge in early spring and coincidentally have a long tradition of use in spring tonics. A nutritive herb, nettle leaf is often combined with raspberry leaf in women’s wellness blends. Nettle supports healthy urinary function and has mild diuretic action and helps to maintain upper respiratory health.*
Oats: A prized cereal grain for generations, oats in their milky stage are harvested for their nutritive value and beneficial qualities. Milky oats are an herbal ally in nourishing from deep within to promote a stable sense of wellbeing. They are often utilized as a gentle nervine and restorative tonic.
