Red ginseng undergoes a special preservation method involving steaming and drying with the peel intact, imparting a deep red color onto the root. Red ginseng root is often considered more stimulating than white ginseng or American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius). Asian ginseng is native to the mountains of China and Korea. A member of the Araliaceae family, ginseng has been a revered and precious botanical in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Asian culture at large for millennia. In fact, wars have been fought over possession of fields where Panax ginseng once grew wild and abundant in Asia. In TCM, ginseng is considered an adaptogen and is often used on its own and in formulas for its healthful properties.

Organic grain alcohol, distilled water, and organic red ginseng root.
