This hydrosol has the bright and zesty character of freshly cut limes. As an ideal ingredient in skin care and household cleaning recipes, organic lime hydrosol is gentler than its essential oil counterpart. Fill your ultrasonic diffuser with hydrosol instead of water for a softer citrus scent that is safe for children and pets.

Distilled from fresh limes, this zesty and energizing hydrosol is sweet and versatile. Lime hydrosol is notably helpful for those with oily skin or occasional blemishes, as it has astringent action that can help to balance skin. Use in place of water with lotion and cream formulations or with clay-based facial masks. It may also be used in elegant homemade soaps. While mild and gentle, this hydrosol has great cleansing properties when used in homemade cleaning formulations. Intended for cosmetic and household use only.

Organic lime hydrosol mixes well with many other hydrosols such as lemon verbena, ginger, cucumber, and blood orange. Find a blend that suits you best. It also makes a beautiful base for homemade body and room sprays. Add a few drops of lemon, lime, or grapefruit essential oils for an emphasized citrus mist. Neroli or ylang ylang essential oils blend well with this hydrosol for a tropically sweet and floral spray.

Due to the nature of steam distillation, our lime hydrosol does not contain vitamin C which is incredibly heat-sensitive. Vitamin C starts to break down when it reaches temperatures over 86⁰ F (30⁰ C). Quality hydrosols are made with steam from boiling water, which begins at about 212⁰ F.

The 3oz. size comes in an amber glass bottle with a mister top. Our 8oz., 16 oz., 64 oz., and 1 gallon bulk sizes come in plastic bottles without misters.
