Our crone care herbal extract blend combines well with water or juice or can be taken directly on the tongue and includes:
Black Cohosh: This root was an important herbal remedy for Native Americans and later for the pioneers who learned of its beneficial properties from local tribes. Black cohosh was widely used for its healthful aspects and was often employed for its affinity for the female reproductive system.
Blue Vervain: This visually striking plant has a long history of use in traditional European herbalism for its many beneficial properties including its use as a bitter nervine. It is considered energetically cooling, helping to bring the vital life force energy downward. It can be drying in the long term but is generally recognized as moistening in the short term.
Vitex: These berries have been used in traditional European herbalism for reproductive support for thousands of years. Vitex supports physical and emotional health during a woman’s menstrual cycle and in the transition into menopause.*
Dong Quai: A root that has been utilized for its healthful properties, tonic actions, and as a spice throughout Asia for over two thousand years. Dong quai is an important herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) where it is referred to as “female ginseng” and the “empress of herbs”. TCM employs this nourishing botanical to support women’s health.
Motherwort: A plant that is utilized in traditional herbalism for its healthful attributes and is considered cooling and drying. Motherwort is cherished as a bitter herb, a mild diuretic, and a relaxing nervine.
Wild Yam: Incorporated into TCM for many thousands of years, wild yam root has a strong history in North American indigenous healing practices, as well. This prolific herb has been embraced for its healthful properties and its affinity for supporting the wellbeing of women.
Licorice: An astounding number of TCM herbal formulas (over 5,000) incorporate licorice to sweeten teas and to “harmonize” contrasting herbs. Glycyrrhiza glabra is treated as a tonic herb in many traditional healing modalities. This powerful root has an affinity for the digestive and respiratory systems and has adaptogenic tendencies.
