This extract blend is formulated with herbs commonly used to soothe and tone the urinary system. It offers a helpful combination of diuretic, mucilaginous, and astringent herbs that have been traditionally used to support healthy urinary tract function.
Our urinary care combination extract can be enjoyed in water or juice or added directly on the tongue and includes:
Cornsilk: While the corn cobb is an important food source, the corn silk is not a food but has a long history of use for its wellness supporting properties in traditional indigenous healing modalities. Corn silk is a diuretic with an affinity for the kidneys and urinary tract, especially when heat is present.
Couchgrass: Also known as dog grass, couchgrass has been used in traditional European folk herbalism for millennia. The demulcent roots are considered to have an affinity for the urinary tract and kidneys.
Marshmallow: Traditional folk practices employed marshmallow to comfort the mucous membranes of the body, as well as an external poultice. Marshmallow root provides natural mucilage that supports, soothes, and moistens mucous membranes of the respiratory, digestive, and urinary tracts.*
Uva Ursi: This herb was used by Native Americans, as well as European and American early settlers for its affinity for the urinary system. It continues to be revered for this healthful benefit today. Uva ursi is astringent, tannic, and has mild diuretic action.
Yarrow: This flowering perennial in common in North America and is also a native to Europe and Asia. The plant bears leaves that are soft and highly segmented with a characteristic appearance that is almost feather-like. Yarrrow was given the Latin name Achillea in honor of the legendary Greek hero Achilles.

Organic alcohol, water, fresh organic cornsilk, organic couchgrass root, organic marshmallow root, fresh uva ursi leaf, and fresh organic yarrow flowering aerial portion.

Precautions
Should be taken with at least 250ml (8 oz) of liquid. Orally administered drugs should be taken 1 hour before use or several hours after, as Marshmallow may slow the absorption. Not for use in pregnancy except under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner. Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family should exercise caution with yarrow, as allergic cross-reactivity is common to Asteraceae plants.
