Shepherd’s purse is a temperate zone weed in the mustard family, alongside cabbage, broccoli, and watercress. This biennial has an erect stem that emerges from a rosette of leaves at its base. It bears white flowers with four petals that produce heart or purse shaped seedpods. The plant’s name is derived from its resemblance to a pouch carried by shepherds of the Middle Ages. All the above ground parts of Capsella bursa-pastoris are employed in herbal preparations.

Our organic shepherd’s purse extract is made in small batches at our extract facility in Eugene, Oregon by our expert team for quality and efficacy. With its verdant flavor, Shepherd’s purse tincture can be taken in water or juice, or directly on the tongue.

Organic alcohol, water, and fresh organic shepherd’s purse aerial portion.
