Steps
Combine oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, and shea butter in a double boiler over simmering water on medium-high heat. Leave on heat until all ingredients are melted together.
Remove from heat, allow to cool for about 3 minutes, and add benzoin and vitamin E oil.
Pour into mini cube tray to make 6-8 cubes. (These are your “marshmallow toppings.”)
Put the mold in the freezer to cool faster.
Mix cacao powder into remaining mixture.
Pour into tins, stirring the mixture in the double boiler between each pour so that cocoa powder doesn't all fall to the bottom.
Allow this chocolate portion to partially cool before you drop in your “marshmallows”. You don't want the topping to melt when added so you'll want the chocolate bottom to be partially set, but not so set that the marshmallows won't be attached.
When cool, add a sprinkle of cacao powder for esthetics (optional). Let cool fully before putting lids onto the containers.
Label and enjoy!
Pro Tips
The 1-ounce tins are ideal and look aesthetically pleasing with the "marshmallow” size ratio.
This recipe accounts for about 2 "marshmallows" per tin and a few extra for incidentals, but you can add an extra if you wish.
Benzoin essential oil is a resinous oil which means it may stick to your double boiler. To clean this easily, wipe as much as you can with a rag or paper towel. Then add some high-proof alcohol and allow to soak for 5 or more minutes. It will wipe right out!

Pro Tips
Like all body care recipes, you can make this recipe your own. I love almond oil for its skin-loving properties and its saponifying action, but you can swap that for an oil of your choosing. You can also swap the salt for sugar if you prefer.
The essential oils really help to strengthen the aromatics of this recipe.
Other Uses For This Recipe
Kitchen Hand Scrub: It's great at removing tacky and stinky resins like garlic.
Bathroom Hand Scrub: I like this recipe for cleaning very dirty or tacky hands. It works to remove tree resins.
Sticker Glue Remover: f you know anything about me, you know I love multipurpose things! I have used this to remove sticker glue when upcycling jars.
Pre-Shave Scrub: This makes a delightful scrub before taking a razor to your skin. As a person prone to razor burn, I have found that this hydrating scrub helps to create a slick surface to glide across your skin. This helps prevent irritation, which can lead to razor burn.

To Make Tea:
Store in an airtight container away from sunlight and heat until ready to use.
Bring 1 cup water to a near boil, about 180- 200° F. (A full boil is also fine.)
Fill a reusable tea infuser, tea strainer, cotton tea net, disposable tea filter, infusion tea pot, tea mug/tumbler, or any loose-leaf tea brewing acccessory of choice with 1 to 3 Tbsp. herb blend. (about 1 Tbsp. is recommended - but experiment and customize based on your taste). Alternatively, put the herb blend directly into a cup and plan to strain herbs out after.
Pour water over tea blend and steep 3-5 minutes, or until desired strength.
Remove infuser or strain out herbs and enjoy!
Pro Tips
Since the ingredients are all in tablespoons, you can easily convert the recipe to parts then scale to your needs.
Brewing instructions will still call for 1 to 3 Tbsp. per 8 oz of water, regardless of what scaled parts were used to create the blend.
