We strive to cut all waste by redesigning our operational procedures to create a more dynamic approach to product design, resource recovery, and recycling. It is for this reason that in 2016, Mountain Rose Herbs became the first company in Oregon to achieve a TRUE Zero-Waste Facility certification, a certification which we have maintained since then.

As an Oregon Benefit Company, we are held accountable for our contributions to a healthier, more equitable world, which is at the heart of everything we do. It allows us to transparently measure and report our impact, reinforcing our dedication to sustainability, ethical practices, and the support of local and global initiatives.

Unlike traditional fair trade programs that merely certify products, the Fair for Life program goes a step further by also certifying our company as an employer and community member with For Life Social Responsibility Certification.

While the concepts and strategies behind it are not new, one of the emerging farming methodologies we are proud to support is Regenerative Organic Agriculture, which aims to not only minimize impact, but have a net positive effect on the environment.
